Mexico please keep your lithium mining under your sovereign care and control, the Chinese need to be stopped in their tracks before it is too late. I have faith in you Mexico. China can purchase the finished product from you PERIOD! Pad your own coffers and reap the rewards of your own natural resources!! China is quickly turning into a global bully and needs to be reminded now and then to play nice! Just ask the people of Taiwan how they feel about China! If Mexico as a country requires foreign investment to get the ball rolling please reach out to the many above board non-commy countries as there is many eager countries looking for green initiatives.

These international miners, with plenty of capital are in a position to “rob” Mexico and its children of their mineral rights. Profits that would do so much for the poor will instead go to China, paid for up front with a small percent of real value. If I was running Mexico, I would nationalize all mineral rights and mining concessions and place ownership of all of it in a sovereign wealth fund, owned by the children of Mexico. There is no good reason in the big picture to let alien nations exploit the future, and there is no reason that Mexico must remain so poor when it can become modestly prosperous. You might say mineral rights were sold under duress (of national poverty and corrupt governing) and without full assessment of future value and that all contracts are fraudulent and void. Otherwise, tell them to come and get it, if they really think they can.

Mexico is touchy about furiners takin’ stuff out of its ground. If I were a foreign company I’d think twice before investing a single peso in any such project.

Mexico has to make the right decision on their extremely strategic lithium reserves for the country and the North American region. Let’s hope they get it right!
