Not so sure about claims of non inflationary. In USA calif has a $20/hr wage for fast food. Result is a fast food burger is $10.
But congrats to getting millions out of poverty. Long over due

Great news for Mexican citizens, not so good for Expats in the middle of obtaining their Temporal or Permenente Visas. If you “just barely qualify” for either, with your income and assets, you will not qualify after Jan. 1st, 2024. We had some friends become disqualified last year when the minimum wage was raised at that time.
However, we are still happy for our Mexican friends around the area!

Considering the cost of living in Mexico, 14.50US$ per day is a ridiculous and shameful minimum salary.
