Truck drivers stop to report some incidents due to lack of action of investigation auhtorities, plus now they are facing threats from perpetrators in case they report the incidents (recently know they are been killed and cars torched).
Truck drivers need to continue report all events; truck owners need to improve security measures and protocols to reduce crime oportunities; authorities need to patrol more often the roads and put atention to the truckers radio CB help assisstance requirements; and more important: people in general we need to stop buying stolen goods from ambulatory and street vendors (tianguis sobre ruedas and similars) or do you really thing a soap or a shampoo can cost $5 or $20 MXN??? Please!!! If we stop the demand, we reduce the offer and that offer come from those robberies.

Maybe these Trucks need to have some body riding Shotgun. I know, it doesn’t make sense in this day and age. The National Guard seems to be useless.

Given the data that explains when and where this happens, please put them in those areas and stop this nonsense. This is not rocket science, go where the criminals are hanging out and wait for them to show up. The criminals are used to not being confronted, that’s why this keeps happening.

Yes, you can go for a Sunday drive to Celaya but there are risks. The turf war in Celaya is an ongoing thing, and you never know when the shooting will start again. What usually triggers an event is that somebody in one of the cartels thinks they recognize a rival gang member. They follow them, and once they stop someplace, then the shooting will start. On many occasions, it’s a case of mistaken identity, and innocent people are killed. Just remember that you will be watched going and coming into Celaya and if you don’t look like a young Mexican male, you won’t be bothered. However, there is a chance of getting caught in the crossfire. We only go to Celaya early in the morning. Get your business done and get out of there. Just understand the risks, be observant, and go early. Hope this helps………….

Only 1% of HW robberies occurred in the northern states so it looks like it’s possible to deal with it

More must be done to stop this criminal and violent acts.

Can a person even go for a Sunday car or motorcycle ride? Maybe a San Miguel local can answer that.
