WTF? Mexican agriculture has decimated that in Alta California and decimated water supplies for deserving Mexicans. How about keeping your cartel-tained avocados there and freeing up water for deserving Mexicans? Regardless, I hope that this was really just inopportune presence at the wrong time amidst an unrelated demonstration rather than a cartel incident.

I agree. I also am unwilling to paint our inspectors as idiots. Instead, it appears that el gobernador is engaged in whitewashing. Perhaps our inspectors need to be accompanied by la guardia nacional.

Really, That is the way you see this? What they want is a safe product being delivered to their country. This is done all over the world with many many products, food and not food. When an inspector (As long as they are not corrupt) is threated, the company or organization has no choice but to pull them out of harms way. The result is damaging to everyone involved. The Farmer, the trucker, the wholesaler, the market and the consumer. Everyone loses in this case. What do they want now? Just a safe product.

This seems like it would be a 100% valid reason to pull your employees and stop inspections.

I doubt the inspectors and their families were relieved to be told that it’s a common occurrence there, but that it wasn’t “related to their work.”
